Abstract

A chapter looking at the ways in which cargo interests can bring claims for pure delay where there is no physical damage to or loss of cargo. The chapter will also examine the concept of deviation, which remains a constant concern to carriers given the limits placed on standard P&I cover where an unjustified deviation displaces contractual defences.
