Corporate Social Responsibility in Sustainable Agriculture Investment in Taiwan
Abstract
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) plays a pivotal role in Taiwan’s sustainable agricultural sector. This study explores the impact of solar panel capacity on agricultural land prices, revealing that regions with higher solar panel capacity tend to experience fluctuations in land value. This study uses a normative legal research approach, with the conceptual approach, statute approach, and data sources. For instance, the spatial lag model (SLM) shows a significant increase in agricultural land prices in regions focused on agriculture, while areas designated for industrial development see a decline. Beyond its economic benefits, CSR also enhances environmental sustainability through the adoption of green technologies, such as solar energy. However, challenges such as excessive spending, regional opposition, and intricate legislation prevent widespread CSR adoption in Taiwan’s agriculture industry. In order to overcome these obstacles and optimize CSR’s long-term beneficial effects on the environment and economy, this research found that a comprehensive strategy encompassing government–private sector partnerships, legislative reforms, and improved education on environmentally conscious technology is essential.
