Abstract

Research has shown that children are affected by their teachers’ levels of self-esteem, and that teachers with low self-esteem are more likely than others to have children in their class with low self-esteem. Common sense suggests a problem of co-dependence. The kindest thing that you can do for a child is to look after yourself. Failure to do that is the main obstacle to your being the person you need to be in the classroom.
