Abstract

When we refer to children as being ‘dysregulated’, we do not mean that they are beyond hope or help. Instead, we are talking about children whose behaviours or needs are outside the scope of typical motivational strategies, such as those promoted through the Quality Circle Time (QCT) model. 1 These are children who may not respond as effectively to the support and facilitation that are typically offered in well-organised and caring schools.
