Abstract

This chapter explores how Poland and Georgia perceive and respond to the Russia–Ukraine war, considering both nations’ historical experiences with Russian aggression and their shared concerns over security in the face of Russian expansionism. The chapter investigates how the historical memory of Soviet occupation, as well as more recent conflicts like the Russo-Georgian War of 2008, shapes these countries’ current political and military strategies.
