The Practice of Compassion in Supervision
Abstract
In this chapter, the reader will learn about the worldwide prevalence of self-care with particular attention to psychoeducational stress management strategies. This chapter examines reflection on practice, how to provide support as a supervisor and seek support in combatting compassion fatigue and burnout. The dilemma of performance management and supervision roles are considered.
