Abstract

Through the lens of transmission, this chapter examines communication as a networked system of interdependence linking art, culture, and politics. Drawing on Dr. Genevieve Guenther’s insights into climate rhetoric, a University of Oregon case study, and an applied digital analysis of China’s “Future of Interdependence,” it reveals how language and vocabularies shape healing, governance, and collective imagination. Using Culture Mapping, PESTELE analysis, and Speculative Fiction, the research traces how words and systems transmit values across civic, ecological, and technological networks. Transmission emerges as the grammar of connection, binding economies, ethics, and emotions into shared futures.
