Abstract

This chapter goes deeper into the Advanced Cognitive Performance Characteristics (ACPs) and examines each of the 20 in turn. The case for the development of ACPs is made. The rationale for the importance of each skill is examined. The evidence base outlining the known knowledge for each is presented along with more informal commentary from the author's own experience of working in and with schools. This chapter also makes key recommendations to assist teachers and leaders as they look to adopt the ACPs in classrooms and throughout the school.
