The 7 Pillars of High Performance
Abstract
This chapter unpacks the 7 Pillars of High Performance Learning. It takes each of the pillars in turn and explores why they are important in creating the culture, pedagogy and style of school that can support the development of the HPL success skills – the Advanced Cognitive Performance Characteristics and the Values, Attitudes and Attributes. The chapter gives practical guidance to senior leaders on how to operate effectively in relation to each of the pillars and provides the evidence base that verifies each element of the approach.
