Abstract

This chapter focuses on leading High Performance Learning in a school. It covers why school leaders are attracted to this approach and what prompts them to prioritise its adoption in their school. It explains that High Performance Learning is suitable for any school but how adoption is approached will depend on the current quality of teaching and learning. The chapter considers the role of senior leaders, middle leaders and teachers in utilising High Performance Learning and provides key advice and guidance on factors that are influential in ensuring good student-centred leadership. The various school systems and protocols which consequently may need adjustment are explored and recommendations made.
