Abstract

The rising ubiquity of artificial intelligence (AI) promises to reshape every facet of society, including business and management. Yet, a critical gap exists between AI’s rapid advancement and future business leaders’ preparedness. This gap is primarily driven by a lack of “AI sensitivity”, characterized by low self-efficacy and heightened anxiety regarding one’s ability to thrive in an AI-infused environment. Business and management graduates need not only to understand the disruptive potential of AI but also to wield it as a tool for innovation, problem-solving, and informed decision-making in a competitive global arena. Fueled by a lack of exposure and understanding, AI anxiety remains a significant obstacle to self-efficacy, hindering students’ confidence in navigating the AI landscape. As a result, this may negatively impact their self-perceived employability, casting a shadow on their career prospects in a world increasingly dominated by AI.
