Abstract

The mission of the event should always be the first consideration when planning. A critical value considered by event attendees is sustainability. To attract visitors, the event must be packaged with lodging and eating establishments. Besides the core event, there needs to be opportunities for visitor interaction and participation. It also must be packaged with entertainment, for which contracts must be prepared. Walking tours should allow visitors to meet and interact with local residents. Activities and lessons should be part of the event. If food and beverages are provided, they should be chosen not only to be acceptable to the visitors but also to build on the theme of the event. This is part of the process of branding the event as a complete visitor experience.
