Embodying change
Abstract
Education for sustainability must embrace change management to drive meaningful transformation and shift mindsets. This chapter explores how dance, movement, and music can be used as experiential tools in business education to deepen understanding of organizational change processes. By engaging in dance and movement-based interventions, participants move beyond abstract definitions to "learning by doing." These exercises introduce a kinesthetic component that simultaneously engages affect, thinking, and feeling, transcending purely cognitive knowledge. This embodied approach enhances comprehension and improves the transferability of concepts, helping individuals and leaders adapt and build resilience in the face of sustainability challenges. Through this art-based pedagogy, students gain valuable insights into the complexities of organizational change and its role in driving sustainable practices.
