Abstract

The epilogue describes how, even when dead, bodies of undesirable but unremovable migrants continue to pose a policy dilemma. Some have ended up in unmarked graves, others inexplicably ‘disappeared.’ Some were purposefully given a seaman’s grave, others have been - and maybe still are - kept in freezers without anyone really knowing what to do with them. Dead or alive, some UBUs remain unwanted.
