Abstract

The circular supply chain or economy (see Figure 20.1 ) is one that eliminates wastes and prefers the reuse of products as opposed to discarding after only one use. There are a number of moving parts to this circular supply chain, so we will concentrate only on two—surgeries and medical supplies. A circular economy would advocate for reusable products that would be more resistant to supply chain disturbances and minimize environmental impact.
