Abstract

A hybrid model that combines centralized and decentralized supply chains for medical supplies and equipment is promising for the procurement aspect of the supply chain. The hybrid model can minimize costs involving factors such as fleet, location, demand, and delivery time. As with anything else, the advantages and disadvantages need to be discussed and weighed before any decision is made.
