Abstract

One argument against universal health supply chain isn’t so easy to dismiss—the argument about innovation and the cutting edge of medical care. In a universal healthcare supply chain system, the government seeks to limit spending through lower payments to pharmaceutical companies and other producers of medical supplies. This would lead to both less innovation and less access to the innovation that already exists.
