Abstract
This reproduced original chapter outlines Kohut&s;s assertion of a developmental line for narcissism . Within that concept, he identified and named the idealized parental imago. Following that, he proposed a new clinical approach for treating arrested development within the conceptualization of idealizing narcissism .
