Abstract

This reproduced original chapter covers key ideas asserted by Kohut in Analysis of the Self . He asserted the idea that narcissism has its own developmental line and he named the Grandiose Self within that spectrum. Kohut also proposed a new clinical approach to developmental arrests within the realm of narcissism .
