Abstract

This chapter examines how educators must fundamentally reconceptualize their classroom practice when AI radically expands what students can achieve. While Chapter 7 outlined new capabilities and Chapter 10 will address assignment design, this chapter confronts one transformative reality: the Zone of Proximal Development has not disappeared but exploded outward, demanding wholesale recalibration of our pedagogical instincts. The outward expansion of the Zone of Proximal Development is not an abstract theory but a lived reality in classrooms.
