Conclusion
Abstract
Theo, the six-year-old boy from the Introduction, was both right and wrong about the dragon story. It was not really “his.” But the story of AI intruding into his life is going to be his and mine, and yours. For the first time in human history, we have created a tool that in many ways mirrors or rather mimics our own intelligence. This is not merely another technology but something qualitatively different: a system that can read, write, reason, and create in ways that seem fundamentally human. We stand at the beginning of what might be called an intelligence big bang, adding vast new cognitive resources to a world that has always been constrained by the limits of human mental capacity.
