As in a Black Mirror
Abstract
This chapter delves into Cotard's syndrome, a rare and complex psychiatric condition characterized by delusions of non-existence or profound nihilism. The patient's experience of nothingness is marked by an extreme form of detachment, where even the body is perceived as void. These perceptions illustrate the intricate interplay between the Real, Imaginary, and Symbolic dimensions, offering valuable insights into the psychotic experience.
