What About the Self?
Abstract
This book centers on the subjective self, particularly as it relates to psychiatry and psychosis. The subject is under threat, both within psychiatry and beyond. To preserve the (psychotic) subject, we must fundamentally reconsider our understanding of humanity. Psychosis offers an opportunity to confront and restore the subject to our collective consciousness. A structuralist perspective can play a significant role in this process.
