Case Study 2 – The Stolen Equipment: Internal Rivalry
Abstract
In this chapter, the author describes a mediation which focused on how women are sometimes treated in the music industry. It describes how feelings of injustice can lead to people reacting with petty and sometimes illegal acts of revenge. The author describes how the mediation process can provide a safe place for sensitive issues such as sexism, ambition, and anger to be explored, allowing people to understand, whilst not necessarily agreeing with, the other’s perspective.
