Abstract

It is not uncommon for there to be disputes about intellectual property including brand names, and this is not excluded from the music industry where the ownership of a band’s name is often the subject of a dispute. It is rare that this is the real issue, and in this chapter, the author shows how mediation unlocked some of the underlying psychological issues which lay at the heart of this dispute.
