Sustainable Trust
Abstract
This chapter explores the concept of sustainable trust through a multidimensional lens within the context of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies, emphasizing the integrated relationship between ethical values, corporate performance, and technological advancement. In contemporary business ecosystems, companies are increasingly evaluated not solely by their financial success but also by their societal responsibilities and environmental impacts. This shift requires a multidimensional approach that addresses economic, social, and environmental interdependencies. Trust-building now extends beyond conventional economic indicators toward a framework grounded in transparency, accountability, and ethical principles. Sustainable trust has emerged as a strategic and normative core within ESG agendas. This chapter examines how digital transformation and emerging technologies shape ESG practices while introducing complex ethical challenges. Technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, blockchain, and digital platforms enhance reporting transparency while simultaneously introducing complex ethical risks. The study proposes an integrated model bridging business management, ethical philosophy, and information technologies for managing trust as a strategic asset.
