Abstract

This chapter explores integrity as a spiritual commitment to authenticity, consistency and living in alignment with one’s core values. It emphasizes that spirituality involves not only what we believe but how we act – particularly in situations of ethical challenge or ambiguity. The text draws attention to how pressures from organizations or society can threaten personal integrity, especially in roles that involve care, support or leadership. For practitioners, maintaining integrity is crucial for trust, credibility and resilience. The chapter also considers how integrity supports self-respect and inner peace, contributing to overall spiritual wellbeing. Readers are invited to reflect on their values, the extent to which their actions align with them, and the importance of cultivating integrity in both personal and professional life.
