Instead of a final conclusion
Abstract
This concluding chapter reflects on the main arguments of the book and emphasizes the urgent need for systemic and legal responses to cyberviolence against women. It reiterates that cyberviolence against women is not an isolated or marginal issue, but a structural form of gender-based violence that undermines women’s rights, equality, and democracy. The chapter underscores that, despite growing recognition, legal frameworks remain fragmented and insufficient, while digital platforms continue to evade accountability. It stresses that responsibility must rest with states and institutions to ensure safety, dignity, and equal participation for women in digital public spaces. The conclusion also looks ahead, outlining the necessity of continuous monitoring of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. Rather than closing the discussion, it calls for further research, advocacy work, and – first and foremost – law and policy reform, positioning cyberviolence against women as a critical frontier in the struggle for gender equality and human rights.
