Epilogue
Abstract
In this epilogue, the history of recent US political administrations is briefly reviewed in their approaches to issues related to the unhoused. Homelessness has been influenced by a hegemonic neoliberal ideology by those administrations in power since Back on My Feet’s origination in 2007. The most recent developments in 2025 offer some insight into how the issues of homelessness may be impacted, which bear resemblance to attacks on and policing of the urban poor and marginalized in the 1980s.
