An Interdependent Triangle in Social Policy Processes
Abstract
A social policy process can be interpreted as a socio-psychological process centered on the interdependent triangle of policy makers, policy implementers, and policy target groups. This chapter uses the case of the villagers' self-governance, based on three field studies conducted in rural Wenzhou, Zhejiang. It attempts to reveal the behavioral preferences and action strategies of these three types of actors in their interdependence. This chapter aims to contribute insights into the nurturing and growth of the social psychology of social policy.
