Abstract

This introduction frames this book as a gravitational companion to the author’s previous book. Pivoting from rupture to form, it introduces the metaphor of orbit as a guiding structure for psychic life—where meaning does not unfold linearly, but bends, loops, and returns around unspeakable centers. Drawing on Loewald, Winnicott, Benjamin, Ogden, and Bion, the text positions the analytic situation as a shared symbolic field shaped not by coherence, but by curved temporality, atmospheric resonance, and the ethics of proximity without grasp. It reframes the symptom as a gravitational trace and the analytic frame as a site of recursive choreography. Language is approached with reverence and caution—holding the paradox that naming both reveals and collapses. Rather than mastery, the volume seeks movement; rather than integration, fidelity to form. The singularity—whether trauma, drive, or truth—remains ungraspable, yet structures every orbit. The reader is invited not to decode, but to dwell.
