Abstract

This research explores the complex relationship between equity and inclusion in education, concentrating on three essential areas: Maintaining equal opportunities for outstanding education incorporating diverse perspectives into the curriculum, and addressing achievement gaps among different student groups. By analyzing academic publications through a bibliometric approach, the study highlights key trends, identifies influential research and scholars, and reveals emerging themes within this vital field. Our goal is to conduct a comprehensive examination of published material on equity and inclusion in education, distinguishing between equity—which focuses on outcomes—and inclusion, which emphasizes creating supportive learning environments. While the study recognizes potential challenges related to data access, it offers valuable insights for researchers, educators, and policymakers committed to fostering a more equitable and inclusive educational system.
