Civil War and Its Cultural System (1946–1949)
Abstract
From 1946 to 1949, during the War of Liberation, the domestic political environment shifted from the cooperation between the KMT and the CPC in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression to a full-scale civil war between the two parties. Against this backdrop, political, economic, and cultural policies were deeply influenced by the military and political confrontation between the KMT and the CPC. The cultural system during this period transitioned from a publicity and education system to a comprehensive wartime mobilization system.
