Abstract

In order that we may be able to educate for, and take account of, a changing world we ought to look more closely at the basic needs of man himself, (the internal needs), and at the tasks of man imposed on him by society, (the external needs). In this way we can perhaps begin to discover what our own tasks as educators should consist of. With these in mind, let us first consider the external needs.
