Abstract

Maokind’s drive to comprehend and control unseen forces in the universe is one of the great themes in human history. Over the centuries, men and women have created remarkable systems of thought and belief, each with the potential to explain and interpret the mysteries of the natural world and they have struggled to refine their cerebral powers. As an outcome, three systems have flourished to modern times i.e. religion, science and philosophy. The phenomena that do not fit or seem to challenge the existing laws and principles are often banished as ignorance and superstition.
