Summary of Arguments
Abstract
In this book, I have sought to debunk the myths of project management, myths that are holding back a worthwhile and honourable practice from achieving all it is capable of. This is not an idle problem. Our world is built through the paradigm of the project. Roads, bridges, buildings, payroll applications, medical devices, aircraft, vaccines, streaming platforms, satellites, and countless other things, both physical and virtual, that we generally take for granted in the modern world, are brought into existence by teams involving a vast array of specialist skills across the technical, legal, financial, organisational, and political domains. The profession of project management claims to unite this expertise, yet the evidence indicates otherwise.
