Abstract

There has never been a lack of rapid classifications in ‘theoretic positions’ in women’s studies. In current feminist circles you’ll often hear that someone is ‘pro difference’, or conversely ‘pro equality’. This kind of classification usually goes hand in hand with a condemnation of those who have opted for a position different from the speaker’s own. One attendant advantage is that the sheep can be separated from the goats, and that the goats can distinguish themselves from the sheep.
