Approaches to Content: What Place and Time?
Abstract
Is there specific knowledge which children aged 5 to 9 need which they will not get in future schooling? Are these years, so vital in a child’s development, also fundamental in his understanding of Place and Time? These and many other questions are asked by teachers trying to formulate either an integrated or separate subject scheme for their school, with or without guidelines from an LEA or anywhere else.
