Community action and political theory
Abstract
During the 1970s, as it has been suggested in the preceeding chapter, a series of debates took place both within the Marxist framework and outside it. Marxist critiques, in summary, provided a challenge to those within the laissez-faire and pluralist perspectives, as well as to those who were broadly in agreement over some, at least, of the starting assumptions of dialectical materialism.
