Afterword Minitime and megaspace in the Palaeolithic at 18 K and otherwise
Abstract
In The world at 18 000 BP a distinguished group of Palaeolithic archaeologists writes about the Palaeolithic without talking only about Western or Central Europe. Both volumes are truly international in scope, but perhaps North American archaeologists stand to gain the most from this Palaeolithic International, because it allows them to compare the Palaeolithic commonly chronicled in their textbooks with Palaeolithic data from east of Rhine and Rhone, and from south of the Mediterranean.
