The third year, 1965: confrontation in high places
Abstract
A therapeutic community represents a relatively integrated social organization. Ideally, the regional central authority no longer controls the hospital administrative system, where previously efficiency meant the immediate and expeditious response to instructions from above. The concept of a therapeutic community implies the involvement of all personnel in the aims and practices of the organization. The hospital is no longer an ’obedient child’, but questions and is at all times potentially rebellious.
