Abstract

The third chapter narrates the political biography of Gulam Ambia Khan, another pioneering Indian communist. Luhani&s;s letter dated June 25, 1921, addressed to the Mandate Commission of the Third Congress of the Communist International, asking for his participation, gives a brief account of his political activities in England. This document, also documents relating to Luhani, Chotto and other members of the Berlin Committee&s;s visit to Moscow, on the eve of the Third Congress of the Comintern, gives us an idea of Luhani&s;s political activities as a pioneering Indian communist. Luhani permanently settled in the USSR in 1925. During the late 1920s and the early 1930s, Luhani wrote quite a few important articles on the Indian political situation, which were published in the Inprekorr, the journal of the Communist International. Referring to these documents, the author has endeavoured to narrate the political activities of Luhani in this chapter.
