Abstract

The objective of this research is to explore the hypothesis that dyslexic disorders derive from inefficiencies in particular components of the information processing system underlying reading competence. In order to approach this objective it is necessary to carry out an evaluative treatment of the dyslexic data and this depends on the availability of standards against which the efficiency of specified processes can be assessed.
