Inextricability
Abstract
There is ongoing controversy within Aristotle scholarship regarding the thesis of pure form in Aristotle’s philosophy. Among recent interpretations, a very interesting project is proposed by David Charles, based on the impurist approach. In this chapter, I will first lay out Charles’s main thesis that Aristotle’s conception of soul is inextricably psycho-physical and then critically examine this impurist interpretation.
