Attitudes Toward Technological Advancements in Digital Services in India
Abstract
Technology has simplified our lives, as nearly everything in our environment is available through innovative advancements. The swift expansion of the population and adoption of the Internet is a subject worth consideration. In contrast to younger generations, older adults are less inclined to embrace and utilize digital technologies to their advantage. In the context of digital India, the purpose and objective of this chapter is to check the impact of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risks, and the adoption of online platforms across a variety of age-groups in India, as well as the level of engagement of those age-groups. This research employs PLS-SEM to analyze data from 350 respondents, offering empirical insights into the dynamics of digital engagement. This report implies that the improvement of digital literacy ultimately fosters financial inclusion and suggests that without parallel awareness initiatives, technological advancements are not enough. The research recommended that the government and multiple stakeholders should collaborate to design targeted financial literacy and awareness programs to strengthen the financial inclusion infrastructure and enhance adoption.
