Abstract

Over time, contact was lost with some of the young people. Mekeila had dreamed of studying real estate and interior design; Ralph wanted to become a police officer; Greg hoped to earn his GED and now reportedly lives in Colorado. Lamia, Réda, and Yanis saw no future. Lamia, once suicidal, is now supported by an addiction center. Réda remains without plans, and Yanis lets time pass without thinking of the future. Jérémy, Maxime, Moussa, Sophie, Aaron, Jack, Ross, and Viviana have not yet achieved their dreams. Jérémy’s wish to open a restaurant and reunite with family ended with imprisonment and separation. Maxime’s business failed; he is still homeless. Moussa was deported to Mali. Sophie and Aaron each rebuilt new lives after separation. Jack now lives on the streets with his wife, and Ross remains homeless. Viviana lives in a shelter. Yazid, John, Scot, and Valeria are making progress. Yazid and Scot found stable housing; John lives with friends; Valeria is studying for her GED and trying to reunite with her partner. Kilian now lives with a new partner and their daughter. Jauffrey fully achieved his dream, settling in Brittany with his girlfriend and their two children.
