Abstract

In conventional therapy, the person is typically assessed for several factors before being offered therapeutic help. One of those factors is usually an assessment of the number and severity of the problems that the person has. This occurs whether they are given a diagnosis or not. The general trend in therapy agencies that deal with people applying for help is that the greater the number and severity of problems a person has, the longer the therapy will be that they will be offered. Correspondingly, the longer the therapy is that is offered to the person, the longer they will have to wait to access it.
