Abstract

If you are new to single-session therapy and you read this book, which covers 50 elements of the single-session therapy mindset and its practical implications, you can be forgiven if your first reaction is, ‘How am I going to be able to do all this in 50 minutes?' That is one element per minute!’ I get that. However, these are aspects of single-session therapy that, after a while, will guide your work implicitly rather than you having to remind yourself explicitly, which you may have done when you began to do single-session therapy work. Second, not all of these mindset elements will be relevant to all clients.
