Abstract
Psychotherapists who operate primarily from a conventional therapy mindset tend to view their clients’ issues as complex, likely multi-faceted and sustained by intricate interactions among intrapersonal, interpersonal and environmental factors. Various therapeutic approaches now favour creating visual case formulations that illustrate how these interconnected elements contribute to the emergence and persistence of clients’ problems.
