Abstract

There is much that is mysterious in life, and in our pursuit to learn more about the world we live in, we find it hard to admit that we don’t know something. In making sense of the world, we form hypotheses, and if we are not careful, we tend to treat these as facts rather than as hunches about reality. In single-session therapy, you may either assume that your client will benefit from SST or that they won’t. It is important to keep in mind that you may be right or wrong on both counts and you may not know which outcome will occur.
